“I've always admired The Monkees' music for its production (some of the best-sounding recordings from that time) and structure, especially their original compositions — Nesmith in particular. His output from 1966 to 1969 produced some of my favorite songs: Good Clean Fun, Circle Sky, You Told Me, Writing Wrongs, and too many more to list here. His solo years yielded even more amazing works, but that's a whole other compilation. I also liked Peter's originals. They were some of the strangest sounding tunes in the entire catalog: Can You Dig It, Tear The Top Right Off My Head, Merry Go Round. Unbelievably great stuff. All in all, there aren't too many Monkees songs that I don't like. Well, maybe a few songs from Changes...”            -Bill Shinn
